Employment Readiness

Services that support and provide learning and work experiences, including volunteer work, where a person enrolled in the District’s Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver can develop general, non-job-task-specific strengths and new employment related skills. Employment skills acquired through employment readiness can contribute to a person’s employability, leading to competitive integrated employment, which meets District or Federal minimum wage requirements. Services will be provided based on personal preferences as well as vocational and other work related assessments.
