This virtual conference is FREE and available to anyone who registers\, regardless of their place of residence. Also\, there is no requirement for attendees to have a student in a PGCPS school. DESCRIPTION:The Maryland Department of Health – Developmental Disabilities Administration’s (DDA) Technology First Task Force is excited to invite you to their first-ever monthly DDA “Tech Tuesday’s” lunch and learn series leading up to the anniversary of Maryland being a Technology First State.  \nDuring this monthly series\, they will dive into how Marylanders with developmental disabilities can utilize various technologies to LIVE\, WORK and PLAY in the communities of their choice. \nBelow is a brief description of each “Tech Tuesday” topic: \nMarch 28\, 2023: Introduction to Enabling Technology and Remote Supports\nThis session will be an overview of the Technology First/enabling technology movement and practices along with an introduction to remote supports. \nREGISTER \nApril 25\, 2023: Enabling Technology & Quality of Life: My Home\, My Health\, My Privacy\nThis session will be an introduction to various technical devices individuals can have in their homes to promote independence and assist with maintaining their health. The presenter will discuss how having tech in one’s home does not mean they will have a loss of privacy. \nREGISTER \nMay 23\, 2023: Enabling Technology & Inclusion: My Home\, My Health\, My Privacy (continued)\nThis session will be a continuation of April’s introduction to technical devices and the various options individuals have to help them to live safely in their homes. \nREGISTER \nJune 27\, 2023: Enabling Technology & Inclusion: My Community and My Job\nThis session will look at job coaching technology that is available to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to get and maintain employment.
