Welcome from Our Executive Director

Serving my community as Executive Director of Total Care Services, Inc. not only brings me great joy, but represents the culmination of a lifelong commitment to advocacy and inclusion. Early in my career, I helped residents of Forest Haven, the state-run facility for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), reintegrate into the community. They deserved homes, not institutions, and to be part of communities they loved.

Through my involvement, I became an advocate for the rights and choices of every person. This experience inspired me to contribute to a new era of community-based services. In 1987, I formed Wheeler & Associates. After helping over 200 residents of Forest Haven achieve successful integration, I was eager to help even more people.

I wanted to change the way people with IDD received care. In 2003, my vision became a reality when I formed Total Care Services, Inc. (TCS). With TCS, we expanded the range of services we offer to include psychiatric services, family systems interventions, therapeutic residential programs, and home and community-based care.

Almost two decades later, TCS continues to pioneer the way in which community-based healthcare is delivered. We have continued to cultivate a track record of success relying on our clinical and professional expertise. We have grown to provide services that help with nearly every aspect of life and support people facing an even broader range of challenges. I am proud of our staff, the quality of our services, and the excellent reputation we have built. And I am grateful for the work TCS does to make our communities stronger.
